Final Cut Pro and the current procedure of our music video

We have started to use an advanced video editing programme called 'Final Cut Pro'. This programme has a variety of effects, transitions, adjustments to meet the editors intentions. The range of effects has allowed us to experiment with different visuals and it has led us to think about the different interpretations the choice has upon our music video. We have already decided that our music video is going to be black and white to reinforce the stablness and the rigidity of capitalism in our society and also to highlight that some people are unaware and are unconscious of the injustice that a capitalist society causes. The black and white effect so far looks very subtle and original because the effect that does not add an extra layer which prevents the raw footage from being pixilated or rough.

We have been using 'Earthquake' effect to create a subtle and realistic distortion via the slight ilt and shake. This has been a very effective style to communiate the ideas of a capilitaist society being disruptive and irregular.

The style of our music video is swift, fast and reversed to communicate the negative and odd outcomes that a capitalist system has. The reverse also suggests that our society is not progressing and is not moving away from capitalism. This shows the inevitable power of capitalism but the speed of 'x2, x4, and x8' conveys the quick development of the younger generation that is against capitalism and are seeking for change.
